The iPhone/iTouch has multitasking! --- and I can prove it!
So this morning I noticed something while installing some apps from the app store on my iTouch. While the apps I purchased were downloading and installing I could go back into the app store and buy more. Though a form of multitasking I decided to take it one step further. I started downloading another and went into Safari to do some browsing. Sure enough the app finished downloading and installed itself. In other words the unit multi-tasked!
Makes me think if that feature is built in then why don't they open it up a bit more to allow other apps to do the same? Now don't get me wrong I know it is a phone and that particular function is a bane in the collective sides of other smart phones operating systems (i.e. Android, Windows Mobile, Maemo..), but still I feel at minimum it should be an option that users can either turn on or off. After all the equipment is obviously capable.

Jan 27th Apple Hopes and Dreamz
Just putting my thoughts out there about tomorrows Apple event.
Hopes:
1. Apple tablet/slate/wtfe -- not because I've just gotta have but because I am sick of all the conjecture. Even Windows Weekly talked almost exclusively about the possible tablet.
2. New iLife -- just makes sense to come with a new media rich product as a way to semi-create content
3. iPhone 4.0 -- I mean it is time guys it is just a question of whether Bro. Jobs will announce it now or at WWDC
Dreamz
1. iPhone on Verizon Wireless.....in February lol -- ok seriously I do hope it will migrate by June or July of this year.
2. New xgrid features with full HPC support -- ok I just hate configuring xCAT and would love to see apple's approach to HPC. alright specifically I would like to see the interface
3. Deal with huge production houses to make a Apple on Demand cable service
4. A true 42" - 65" Apple TV with Hulu support -- hells yeah that will be the day lol
5. Oh yeah ... Tablet price $499.00 -- ah but it is only a dream... I know that bastard is gonna be around $800.00 minimum.

Microsoft Courier Booklet (Dual-Screen)
I know with all the apple tablet hearsay going around I may get burned at the stake for this, but the courier actually looks pretty cool and usable.
